Different types of incinerators

Incinerators are an important type of waste treatment equipment that converts waste into ash, exhaust gas,

particulates and heat through high-temperature combustion, which can be further used for power generation or other purposes.

There are many types of incinerators according to different designs and uses.

The following are several common types of incinerators:

1. Fixed grate incinerator

Fixed grate incinerator is one of the simplest types of incinerators, characterized by a fixed grate.

This type of incinerator is suitable for treating solid waste in the form of evaporative combustion, such as plastics,

grease residues, etc., but is not suitable for treating waste that burns in the form of surface combustion,

such as rubber, tar, asphalt, etc. The processing capacity is determined by the size of the grate area.

2. Movable grate incinerator (mechanical grate incinerator)

The movable grate incinerator, also known as the mechanical grate incinerator, is characterized by a movable grate that can be moved,

allowing the waste to loosen and move on the grate, thereby improving the incineration conditions and realizing automatic feeding and ash discharge operations.

According to the different grate structures, it can be divided into chain type, step reciprocating type, multi-stage rolling type incinerator, etc.

3. Hearth type incinerator

The hearth type incinerator uses a hearth to hold the material, and the combustion is carried out on the surface of the material on the hearth.

It is suitable for treating small-particle or powdery solid waste and muddy waste. According to whether the hearth is movable,

it can be divided into two categories: fixed hearth and movable hearth.

4. Fluidized bed incinerator

The fluidized bed incinerator is a high-efficiency incinerator developed in recent years.

The hot air blown out by the distribution plate at the bottom of the furnace is used to suspend the waste in a boiling state for combustion.

Usually, an intermediate medium, i.e. a carrier (such as sand), is used for fluidization,

and then the waste is added to the fluidized bed to contact with the high-temperature sand and transfer heat for combustion.

5. Rotary kiln incinerator

The rotary kiln incinerator is a special incinerator suitable for treating some special types of waste,

such as medical waste, hazardous waste, etc. It uses high-temperature sterilization technology to ensure that the waste is safely and effectively treated.

6. Garbage pyrolysis gasification incinerator

Garbage pyrolysis gasification incinerator is an incinerator that combines pyrolysis and gasification technology, mainly used to treat domestic waste.

Through pyrolysis and gasification technology, the effect of garbage incineration can be enhanced and the energy recovery efficiency can be improved.

7. Low-temperature magnetic thermal decomposition device

The recently developed low-carbon emission thermal decomposition technology does not require fuel and has no flame. It is different from fuel-fired incineration,

which releases heat through intense oxidation. The magnetic gas is exchanged into the furnace and uses energy absorption: evaporation,

gasification, thermal decomposition of carbon materials, and the operation process is energy-free.

The above are some of the main types of incinerators. Each type has its specific application scenarios and technical characteristics.

Choosing the right type of incinerator is essential for effectively treating waste and protecting the environment.
