The rotary kiln incinerator adopts a two-stage combustion process. The first-stage combustion chamber is a horizontal cylindrical rotary structure, which continuously stirs and flips waste through uniform rotation to ensure uniform material mixing. After the waste is initially burned in the first-stage combustion chamber, residues and flue gas enter the second-stage combustion chamber. Organic-containing waste gas is completely burned through auxiliary fuel oil and excess combustion-supporting air to eliminate residual harmful gases.
During equipment operation, the residence time of waste in the furnace can be accurately controlled by adjusting the kiln speed. Combined with the mechanical vibration stirring effect, the treatment efficiency of complex waste is greatly improved. It has low requirements for material pretreatment, suitable for various types of solid waste, sludge, hazardous waste and other wastes with a wide range of application scenarios.
This technology has obvious drawbacks: excessive air is required for combustion, resulting in low system thermal efficiency and high energy consumption loss; the single-unit waste treatment capacity is limited, the combustion temperature and state are difficult to accurately control, and auxiliary fuels are often required to maintain stable combustion; spherical solid waste is prone to rolling and retention with the kiln body with insufficient burnout rate. In addition, the output of fly ash and flotation particles is large during incineration, and slag blockage is easy to occur when treating sludge, leading to high operation and maintenance difficulty.
